What is the Access Card?

The Access Card (sometimes referred to as the CredAbility Card or a Nimbus Card) is a card like no other; it translates your disability/impairment into symbols that highlight the barriers you face and the reasonable adjustments you might need.

Think of it as a Disability Passport.

This then informs providers quickly and discreetly about the support you need and may gain you access to things like concessionary ticket prices and complex reasonable adjustments without having to go into loads of personal detail.

It’s all based on your rights under the Equality Act and providers’ responsibilities.

The Access Card and the team have won a number of awards for their work and in 2022 were awarded the most prestigious and highest official award for a business in the UK: The Queens Award for Enterprise in the field of Innovation.

Where can you use the card?

The card can be used at over 3000 events and venues across the UK and beyond including theme parks (Such as Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and Paultons Park), live Music Events & Venues, Festivals, Museums, Zoo’s and much much more… for a full list of providers please visit their Find A Provider page.

Who can apply?

The Access Card is available to people who meet the criteria for being a disabled person as defined by the Equality Act.

This means that conditions would have to be more than temporary in nature and have a substantial long-term impact.

There is no age limit for the card as it is centered all around an individual's access needs.
